'A Lover's Eye' Frameable Art Card

Inspired by the beautiful, romantic tradition of 'Eye miniatures' or 'lovers eyes' - a hand painted eye of a spouse, loved one or child. Beginning in the late 1700's These talismans were usually commissioned for sentimental reasons and were often worn as bracelets, brooches, pendants or rings with richly decorated frames, serving the same emotional need. We have created this art card to share with you as a representation of this beautiful tradition. A hand painted eye, printed on heavy 5"X7" watercolor card stock. Embellished with a vintage gold foil dresden frame, and a quote from Prince George of Wales to his love.
